City Church believes that baptism is a public sign of identification with the message and mission of Jesus Christ. It is an outward sign of the life change that has already begun in the life of a believer after they have entered into new life with Christ. At City Church we prefer to baptise through immersion following the model of Christ's baptism and that of the first century church. Baptism as an act of identification with the message does not aid salvation, wash away sins, or serve as entrance into a church body, but rather is the proclamation of a believer's identification with Christ and a first step in the process of discipleship.
How do I get baptised?
1. Fill out a online form
Start by filling out a prayer/care request form online.
2. Talk it Out
One of our pastoral team members will call you to follow up with you on your decision. During this phone call, you will need to arrange a time to meet a media team member face to face to video you talking about your story.
3. Shoot the Video
You'll come up to our offices at your set time for about 30 minutes to shoot your Going Public video.
